Inspiration.

Sometimes you just need it. Life is becoming mundane or dull... you feel like you need someone to talk to or something to DO?! Well... I think this is where blog stalking comes into play.

About three years ago, I became friends with one of the most artsy women I've ever met. We became friends out of necessity one summer... and yet, we didn't want to be friends at the beginning.

Picture this in your head:

I'm sitting on the floor, sewing a duvet cover together on MY side of the room. She's on her side of the room, unpacking. The conversation went something like this:

B: I don't like mornings. I like my side of the room.
A: Do you have any pet peeves?
B: Not really.
A: I can't handle dirty bathrooms.
B: I'm not so sure how I feel about having a roommate.
A: It scares me. I didn't want one either.

Yep. Half way through the summer, we were friends who talked constantly and did a lot together, but never went on the other side of the room. Weirdest thing ever. Invisible line? However, I learned some things from her quirkiness.

I thought she was the STRANGEST thing when she said the phrase blog stalking. At first, I was secretly thinking "A blog? Like, what you write on?! Why???"

She introduced me to her best friend Jasmine Star and helped me fall in love with wedding photography. She taught me how to like bright splashes of color (you should just SEE her apartment). Oh, I am so glad we're friends.

With the help of amazing B I have found tons of awesome sites and explored this love of photography through blogs. I would like to highlight some of those, as well as her blog today:

Dreaming

I found three pictures that I feel describe me so very well. If I could decorate a room for the purpose of relaxing, inspiration, and happiness... it would be these three rooms:

*now, do take into consideration this would be a in a perfect life where there was no dust or children invovled*

Now, please don't include the Indian blanket in my *dream* but you get what I mean.... see the vision???

Oh yes. :) Soooooooo relaxing and lots of money................ but hey, here's to dreaming!

She's Got Style.

When she moved into my double wide trailer four years ago, I knew I wanted to be her friend.

Now- don't get me wrong... my first impression of K was that she had everything together and my shaking-in-my-high-heels feeling of a 1st time RA was very scared!!! She had STYLE, a great laugh, amazing decorating skills, and an awesome personality. Great combination, right? Yep. God knew what He was doing, and we became best friends. She has been the only person I've ever seen love on people with food and movies... it's her trademark, I think- as well as:

DECORATING.

This girl can decorate. It's my favorite activity with her, actually (right up there with thrift store shopping and redoing furniture). She and I have joined forces on many occasions to S.P.I.C.E. up life with a flare of beautiful-rustic-classic-country-SOMETHING and made it more glamorous than before. A glimpse of what these events look like??!!

As we were carrying rolled up area rugs: "I feel like we are sisters walking through the AFRICAN FORREST!!"

Or, "Audrey! Guess what I just found by the dumpster?!! An awesome DOOR!! Let's make it into something." (I saw it an hour earlier and was waiting for her call)

"Let's buy this couch! It's only twenty dollars and we can recover it with SHEETS!!!" And we did.

There's SOOO much more. TOO MANY to mention! She's made every project fun...

That first day she moved in? A boy was with her. I knew it back then: she liked this boy. She still does and is marrying him in September! As she is brainstorming ways to decorate her new home, she is figuring out what her true sense of STYLE is....

K mentions a lot of these adventuresome findings in her BLOG. **Her most recent post on wallpaper is to DIE for!**

Two other blogs that remind me of her style recently are:

Aubrey and Lindsay

Check these three great blogs out, and I promise you won't be let down.... :)

I love my friends.

This weekend I've had the joy and pleasure of spending time with other women my age.

Oh, how I TREASURE this.

Shared stories, laughter, struggles, and style. Fun. SO. Fun!!

A year ago this last weekend I graduated from college. I know, RIGHT?!?! :) This weekend, a few of my graduate companions came together and we celebrated together. It wasn't sad to be there, but simply glorious. We had a photo shoot in the Baccalaureate Hall (and, I felt myself questioning: "Wait, it's been so long. I can't remember how to smile!!"). Weird, right? But, I realized... the last time we took pictures of ourselves for fun where we SMILED was probably a few months ago.

Too long, my friends.

Life after graduating? Well... it's very hard. Other parts: like the joy of friends, old memories, new memories, laughter, and celebrations? Those are worth living for.... God is simply glorified in those moments.

Because of the craziness of graduation last year... I didn't simply JOY in this graduation day and it's pictures. Today I'm posting a few of my favorites.

Yay, graduates..... You did it!! May your new adventures stretch you, mold you, and show you who you are- like they've done me this year :)

Some things just keep us together! Yay for friendship bonds :)
These girls?! The best you'll ever meet.

And my personal favorite picture of all time Senior Year:

Peacock Feather.

I ran out of things to photograph lately. No really FRESH ideas. Soooo one rainy evening this week I decided to do a photoshoot. This time?

Of me.

Yeah, weird. I know.. but nobody was around! And so I played with make-up and got a feather. Random turn-out but really fun!!!

Hope you enjoy...

And, my apologies on lack of updates. My computer is broken :*(

Website Highlight.

Good morning, all!

Wow. What a busy life lately!!! I haven't found things to take pictures of lately (I wanted to take far away pictures of the ADORABLE kittens in my backyard, but the camera wouldn't work), and also haven't had my computer working at home :(

Sooo I will update from the good 'ole internet.

I found this website and it sparked my interest. Wedding photography in NEW YORK. This is one of my top favorite places, ever. I plan to move there when I'm old and eighty-five... seeking adventure in the Manhattan. Oddly enough, my sisters are in NYC right now on a school trip!!

This photographer has a great style. The pictures are beautiful, the backdrops lovely, and... my favorite? The lighting and the school bus. Ha. You'll see.

Hope you enjoy as I did... and, hope you have a blessed weekend!!!!
