White and Black

It's been awhile since I've posted... please accept my apologies!! Life has been busy... and not? Who knows... anyway, right now I'm listening to an interview of my personal favorite photographer Jasmine Star. She is simply inspiring... logging on to her blog every day is like talking to a good friend, familiar and safe? She is electronically vulnerable. I need to work on that! Funny. I'm learning a lot from her and her faithful blogs. Enjoy her fabulousness :)

On another note... I found these adorable teacups at a Salvation Army the other day. Twenty-five cents each! WOW!!! Don't you LOVE cheap finds that are so nice and cute?!?! Well, I do. Yard-saling is my favorite Saturday event possible, and I need to do more of it.

In trying to find something else to take pictures of, I found these cups. So... I decided to take a few pictures simply because they are adorable.

Tree and Shack

Driving home in the afternoon......

Out of all in Toccoa, this is by far my most favorite tree. I'm in love with it. I pass it a lot and it is actually near a jail, but it does not ruin it's beauty. It sits on a hill all by itself, and it just sings of glorious tree-ness! I love it...

This other barn/shack? Who knows who belongs to him, but I had to snap a shot. Although, I did walk through the trash to get to it. Oh, not a problem :)

I. LOVE. WORKING.

Seriously... I love being busy, doing something that gets my hands dirty, and something that will show the fruit of my labor. I really, and truly love working. This day off I decided to clean the garage for a friend. Yes, we got dirty. Yes, it took us a complete work day. Yes, we found some odd things that were unidentifiable. However, it was a joy. Here are a few more pictures from that day..................

Hard Work Doesn't Hurt Anybody........

These are some pictures from MLK holiday's events....
My organizing pal and I totally organized and cleaned an entire garage.....................................
After cleaning out the garage and you can see how tired we were..........

Closing the door as the sun was setting. Work. Well. Done.

Pretty barn in the back yard.....

The gloves that kept us clean. They have such personality, don't they??

Only a few.... more to come.......

Scenic Sunset

oday I sent out on a quest to find something new to do... and something new to take pictures of in the town! So, to conserve on gas and help my body expend energy I decide to take a walk... a lonnnnng walk until after the sun decided to set. I loved it. As always; I love finding new things to do. These are a few of my photographs from tonight.....

Will update from yesterday! However... I have a pause on those pictures :) Will come soon!

What does this remind you of? Makes me think of Clemson Tiger paw..........
B.R. for bridge? Perhaps I'm not sign-savvy.....

Have I mentioned that I love fire hydrants???!!! NOT for the reasons that dogs do, but purely because they have such a weird shape and come in SOOOOO many different artistic colors. I could take pictures of them all day long and make a studio FULL of pictures of such a weird disposal of water.....

The moon peeked out!!!!!

This picture made me think I was not in my neighborhood anymore......

Mondays...

Funny how days off can be! I teach as a profession, so today I had a holiday and spent the ENTIRE day-light hours cleaning out a very crowded garage. Would you like to know my hypothesis of the whole situation?

Fabulous.

What better thing could you do on a day off? Cleaning with a friend, running away from the spider crickets that would LAUNCH in your direction when they saw you breathing. Fierce little heathens, they are. I despise them.... but, I'm sure they do the same to me. Besides the little creatures, my friend and I conquered the entire building. We dug out old things, discovered interesting items, and felt like we organized and conquered the entire world. What a feeling. Glorious.

Want to know what else? The weather was perfect. A sunny sixty degrees all day!!! Who would have thought?? It has rained the last two days.... so today's break in the clouds was lovely. The only thing this day could have had to make it more perfect than it already was would be a scarf. I took a picture of some of my favorites that are politely taking residence by my front door. Hope you all had a great Monday..... :)

Rainy Days...

Sometimes I love the rain. Sometimes I do not. Most of the time I love the sound of it hitting the windows and the way it makes me fall asleep at night, but other times I simply hate it because my socks and jeans never fail to get soaked. Hm...

However, this particular rainy day weekend gave me opportunity to come up with ways to take pictures. This is a new goal of mine: to take a set of pictures every day. So far, so good. Today I did not have anyone to photograph but myself...... so feel free to laugh as I struggled to get a successful picture :)

May I introduce me and my car that is commonly known as Ariel. She is my old, faithful friend. She has seen me through my last years of high school, all of my years in college, and now my years of post-grad and "real" adulthood. If cars could talk!?!?

You would get so many stories from her... my favorite part of this car? That it is old. It is starting to fall apart.... and it's not perfect. Just like everyone else in this world. New things aren't as glorious as they seem :)

Here are a few RANDOM, did I mention random pictures.................

This one is funny to me... no judging....... :)

The windows outside, that I was washing off with natural rain water- before repairing them!

Thought the water coming off the house was pretty........

The next one made me laugh.... "Where shall we go today?!" with my favorite yellow shoes, of course.......

Things I Love...

There are a few things that I truly, truly love.

One? Fridays. Getting off work and enjoying the feeling of one week completely accomplished and marked off the list. Pride at what you did right, new-found humility in what you did wrong, and a whole list of things you just learned. Who knew so much could happen in seven full days, but every Friday I see that.

Two? Broken Bridges. It is my most favorite place in the enire world. It is a place where one bridge connected two states, but was broken somehow in the middle. Now, all transportation goes through another bridge, and this one is left to show. Peaceful, old, rustic. So many adjectives could not do this place justice.

Three? Afternoon outtings with someone I love. What better way to spend an afternoon? Taking pictures, laughing at events or random things, good music, driving in the car, and sweet company and companionship.

I loved doing this......... great Friday afternoon :)
